And so it begins...

Holy crap! Proving that if you live long enough, anything can happen, the first issue of Silver is finally off to the printer!

SILVER is a passion project. As such, it progresses at a somewhat irregular pace, since I have to squeeze it in between all the other stuff. Still I thought it would be fun to document its progress, and talk about related topics, ranging from prep work and process to conversations on artists who inspired me, or even occasional observations, musings and rantings on story in general.

So what is Silver about?

SILVER takes place in NYC, 1931. We meet James Finnigan, who is the FBI's most wanted thief. Finnigan tries to steal an ancient silver collection during a high-society charity event held at the Harker Foundation, and ends up finding something that will turn his world upside down.

Truth is, there's a big high-concept idea coming soon in the story that I don't want to give away just yet. So suffice it to say, that it's full of old-school gangsters, smart-ass con-men, hot babes, and yes... vampires! And if a certain name is any clue, not sparkle-in-the-sun vampires.

The first issue is 29 pages, and I have posted three of them below. p10, 17 and 18.

I have to say, I love doing the 1930's especially when I can interject some sweet Kirby/Steranko nonsense into it!

Okay, so like I said, the book is off to the printer. I'll post more when I have it (them?) in my shaky little hands.
